Enthusiastic teams of volunteers have given 1,920 hours to Dandelion Time since the beginning of 2017! They left their offices for the day, armed with tools and ready to take on the hard manual work needed around the house, farm and gardens.
150 staff from Kimberly Clark, 25 from Marks & Spencer, 16 from Outset UK, 16 from Lloyds Bank, 30 from Metro Bank, 30 from Cook have notched up 1,920 hours volunteering hours working here at Elmscroft in West Farleigh.
Some of the many tasks these amazing volunteers have completed: built a low rope trail for our children, built planters, fenced fields, set up security cameras, organised a new storage archive area, built potting tables, constructed raised planting beds, made tables and benches and built a sand pit – the list is long. This work has been such a great help to our charity and so vital to the therapy offered to the children and families who come to Dandelion Time.
“As two stores joining together (Maidstone and Aylesford) we felt privileged to be given this opportunity to support this great charity, Dandelion Time. 27 members of staff attended a day where we were able to make a difference within the Community and leave a lasting legacy for the charity to enjoy. A huge thank you to all the team at Dandelion Time for making us all feel extremely welcome and making the day as memorable for us as it was for you!” Rachel Barker Store Manager, Marks and Spencer, Maidstone.
“Kimberly-Clark is all about ‘making lives better’ which makes Dandelion Time a perfect partner for our 2017 Community Day…. an extremely rewarding experience for all involved.” Kate Goodman – Managing Director, Kimberly-Clark UK & Ireland.
