It’s been a busy few weeks with lots of invitations to take part in radio shows. We were very grateful to be invited by the Community Bunker Show and BBC Radio Kent to participate in their regular broadcasts. These shows are available for a short time, if you missed them when they were originally broadcast
Listen again here, to Anyes and Caroline on the Community Bunker Shower. This broadcasts every Thursday, and is a great platform for charities to showcase their work and upcoming events. We are very grateful for their support of Dandelion Time and it’s valuable work with families in Kent.
Anyes, Caroline and Louise were invited to BBC Radio Kent’s Saturday Breakfast show, to review the papers, and you can listen again, available until 22 August 2016. (Listen at approx 1.30 and 2.30 into the show).
This week our Chairman, Dr Caroline Jessel was invited to discuss gardening and it’s therapeutic effect on mental health.
Using the natural world is a key part of the therapy that takes place at Dandelion Time, and we spend as much time as we can outside with our children and their families. Listen to Dr Caroline again here, about 2 hours into the show.
One final piece of news covered by the Kent Messenger, shows exactly why services such as ours are important to our local community. Vicki Fabian kindly agreed to talk to the KM about her story and her time at Dandelion Time, with her family. We are really pleased Vicki has joined us as a volunteer, and has signed up to our Diploma in Creative and Practical Therapeutic Skills. If you would like details on this accredited Diploma, please see section on our website or contact us on 01622 814001, firstname.lastname@example.org.
