This year, Small Charity Week celebrated their 10th Anniversary of the Big Impact Award. Dandelion Time has been announced as winner of the National FSI Small Charity Big Impact Award!
Small Charity Week is a campaign which was first established by the Foundation for Social Improvement (FSI) in 2010, to celebrate and raise the profile of the small charity sector.
The week is organised as a series of activities and initiatives to support and raise awareness of the hundreds and thousands of small charities that, every day, make a huge difference to vulnerable communities right across the UK and the rest of the world.
Pauline Broomhead CBE, CEO of the Foundation for Social Improvement (FSI), the charity behind the award and Small Charity Week said:
“Small charities do amazing work, often having an impact far beyond their size, yet they often don’t receive the recognition and celebration they deserve. We are thrilled to award Dandelion Time this prize and congratulate them on their amazing work.”
Our Fundraising Team, enjoyed attending some of the many useful events over Small Charities Week.
Dr Caroline Jessel attended the Award Ceremony in London. She accepted this Award on behalf of our therapists, families, volunteers and supporters. The Award is a testament to the outstanding work and involvement of our Dandelion Time community.
Caroline Jessel, Head of PR and Fundraising said:
“We are thrilled to have won the Small Charity Big Impact award. It will strengthen our credibility, giving confidence to our donors and supporters. The opportunity to have a professionally made film by Good Egg Media will have a transformative effect on our ability to communicate our work and our impact.”
“Without the tireless hard work of small charities and community groups, many people in the UK would be considerably worse off. As most of these organisations don’t get anything like the recognition they deserve, a glittering awards ceremony that sings their praises can only be a good thing. If it were up to us, they’d all get a prize – as it is we’re just pleased to support this good cause for good causes.” Zoe Darrah, Marketing Co-ordinator at Policy Bee, Award Sponsors.
