Graham Carpenter, the Chief Executive Officer of Dandelion Time, has been awarded a BEM in the 2015 Queens Birthday honours. The award is a personal one and reflects the special work Graham has undertaken with traumatised young people and their families. On receiving the award Graham said “ I am delighted to accept this honour on behalf of all of the families, volunteers, trustees, staff and at Dandelion Time, all of whom give their time generously to ensure our innovative charity can continue”.
Dandelion Time is a charity for children and families struggling with trauma often arising from physical or emotional abuse, neglect and domestic violence. Based on a small farm near Maidstone, the charity provides practical farm based activities and a therapeutic service to help children overcome past suffering, develop in confidence and self-esteem and discover a new and positive path to follow.
