A significant proportion of our voluntary income comes from the generous support of Trusts and Foundations and other grant-making bodies such as the National Lottery Community Fund, BBC Children in Need, and the Kent Police & Crime Commissioner. Without this support, Dandelion Time would be unable to deliver its vital work with children and families. As well as multi-year and unrestricted grants for our core work, grant-making organisations also fund one-off projects, capital purchases, and larger-scale development work at our sites.
Recent Grant Awards
The Masonic Charitable Foundation has awarded a generous grant over three years to support Dandelion Time to work with children and families impacted by domestic abuse.
Since 2020, Raise Your Hands has been a valued partner of Dandelion Time. Its ongoing core funding has helped us support children and families across Kent, while volunteers from the Raise Your Hands supporter community have generously given their time to help deliver activities and projects.
The Leathersellers’ Foundation awarded a 4-year grant to support our work tackling the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) through our core family support programme.
The Chimo Trust has awarded a grant over three years for Dandelion Time’s Family Support Programme. This funding will make a substantial contribution to the expansion and development of the charity’s services over the next 3 years.
The Kent Police & Crime Commissioner has funded Dandelion Time to deliver support to children and carers who are victims of abuse. Through the Victim Specialist Services Fund, the Kent PCC has been a key supporter of Dandelion Time’s services for several years.
The Bradbury Foundation has awarded funding for a new building at our mid-Kent HQ. The Roundhouse will be used for a wide range of experiential crafts including wool work, woodwork and clay work undertaken by families as part of our therapeutic programme. It will provide much-needed additional space for the charity to deliver its training and work with children and families.
The Garfield Weston Foundation has awarded a grant over 1 year to support Dandelion Times core family work
