Our seven Guinea Pigs
Guinea pigs are gentle and friendly. Holding them, feeling their warmth, and hearing soft sounds helps children learn care, feel trusted and capable, and rebuilds self-esteem.
Alyss, Layla and Sunset
With their wide eyes and quiet hums, alpacas have an instant appeal. Naturally shy and cautious they teach us that trust can’t be rushed. They offer a connection built on peaceful moments of kindness and patience.
Our flock of 15 Sheep
Sheep are calm animals that like being together. Being near them feels safe and familiar. Stroking their warm wool or watching their funny faces helps children relax.

How do I sponsor an animal?
Firstly, thank you for wanting to sponsor one of our animals! You can easily set up an adoption online by clicking on the orange button under the animal you want to sponsor and filling in the form.
You can choose to sponsor for yourself or as a gift.
How long will my sponsorship last for?
Your sponsorship will continue monthly until you contact us or your bank to cancel it.
What are my payment options?
If you have a UK bank account, a Direct Debit is a great way to support us; regular gifts by Direct Debit mean charities have a consistent, predictable income, so we can plan and budget better across our projects.
Please note, a Direct Debit is an ongoing payment. You can cancel at any time either through your bank or by letting us know via fundraising@dandeliontime.org.uk.
The minimum for our animal sponsorship starts at a Direct Debit of £5.00 per month.
How is my sponsorship money spent?
At Dandelion Time, our animals are more than companions — they’re an important part of the calm, nurturing environment we create. Each one supports our nature‑based therapy for children and families who have experienced difficult times. By sponsoring one of our animals, you help us care for them and support the work we do.
Your donation will help us fund our nature-embedded therapeutic sessions, building confidence, resilience and hope in children and their families.
How long will it take for my pack to arrive?
We anticipate your sponsorship pack to be sent within 7- 10 days as we are a small team.
What do I do if I have not received my sponsorship pack?
If you have not received your welcome pack 7-10 days from your order, please contact us on 01622 814100 to let us know.
Will I be the only one sponsoring my chosen animal?
Our sponsorship scheme allows more than one person to sponsor the same animal.
Can I visit my sponsored animal?
Due to the nature of our work, we are unable to offer the opportunity to see our animals outside of our annual May Fayre.
