What a win – win!
Last Friday, Dandelion Time joined millions of people from all around the world for what’s being called the biggest climate strike in history. The movement was inspired by Greta Thunberg, the Swedish teenager, who started missing school on Fridays to protest outside Swedish parliament. Our team gathered together to showcase our support for this worldwide movement and were kindly joined by WI Bearsted and a team of volunteers from NHS Tonbridge.
Dr Caroline Jessel, Chair of Trustees and Founder of Dandelion Time began by speaking about the vital importance of this cause and how we must join together to nurture our nature for our children’s future. Over the last 17 years, Dandelion Time has incorporated the natural world into our therapeutic work to help heal, connect and restore hope to over a thousand young lives.

Following the Dr Caroline’s speech, in true Dandelion Time style we joined together to sing out about the urgency of the task ahead of us! Music & Lyrics were written by the very talented Rachel Rodwell from our therapeutic team.
To conclude, and to take action upon our responsibility to care for our environment nature around us, we planted a Pear Tree in contribution towards offsetting everyone’s carbon journey for that day.
Overall the morning was a great success and filled with a real sense of hope and motivation for change.
