We were delighted to be invited along to the Mercure Great Danes Hotel in Maidstone last night, for the Kent Charity Awards ceremony. Kent Charity Awards showcases “the hard work and perseverance that charities and their staff undertake to make the lives of others better”. The event highlights the vital work undertaken by hundreds of third sector organisations in the region.
It was a delightful evening, where we met many of the great charities from across Kent. All finalists, to find out if they were winners for their category.
Dandelion Time was a finalist for Children’s Charity of the Year, along with Kent Young Carers and The Parents Consortium.
The event was hosted by Sangeeta Bhabra, ITV Presenter, and we were absolutely thrilled when she announced we had won the Award.
Graham Carpenter (CEO) said “We are hugely grateful to the staff, volunteers and trustees for their dedication to our work and to the families that attend for their commitment and courage. At such a time of increased pressure on families, and regrettably increased neglect and abuse, this recognition will enable the Charity to continue and expand its work in helping vulnerable children in Kent”.
We would also like to congratulate all the finalists and winners. Very well deserved for all their hard work in Kent.
