Week 4 of our Summer of Nature series is here, and this time, we’re giving you something new— free, printable scavenger hunts that turn any walk into a playful nature adventure. Whether you’re exploring a garden, a park, or just your local green space, this simple activity is a great way to spark curiosity, move mindfully, and enjoy some fresh air together.

No fancy kit needed—just step outside and let nature do the rest.

Each scavenger hunt is available as a printable, child-friendly worksheet with space to draw or write. They’re ideal for nature journaling, quiet time outdoors, or adding a little wonder to a walk.

1. Rainbow Walk – Find Nature’s Colours Children hunt for natural items in every colour of the rainbow. From red berries to green leaves and grey stones, this simple activity helps them see nature’s beauty in every corner.

3. Shape & Texture Quest – Feel Your Way Through Nature

A tactile trail that invites children to explore textures and shapes—smooth stones, tickly grasses, round leaves, and natural patterns. It’s great for inspiring hands-on creativity and mindful noticing.

2. 5 Senses Safari – Explore Through Touch, Sound, Smell & More

This hunt encourages children to tune into nature using all five senses—including a safe and supervised tasting option. It’s a gentle, grounding activity to help them slow down and feel more connected to the world around them.

We’d love to see what you find! Share your discoveries, drawings, or favourite moments with us on social media using the hashtag #SummerOfNature — let’s celebrate the small wonders together.

Happy exploring! 🌿✨
